Pauillac – Haut Médoc – Médoc

Château Dompierre winery is located in Saint-Laurent-Médoc, near Pauillac in Bordeaux. The vineyards of Pauillac are located next to super second Grand Cru Classés. The vineyards of Haut-Médoc are located in Saint-Seurin de Cadourne, just above St Estèphe and the vineyards of Médoc in Saint-Cristoly-Médoc. All facing the Garonne River.

Pauillac is one of the most famous appellations in the Médoc. From this village come no less than eight crus classés, three of which are the highest classification in Bordeaux. Wines from this area are known for their refined and powerful, tannic wines that can age particularly well.

Michel Aroldi was born in Libourne in 1959 and learned to make wine in Saint- Émilion. Raised in the French countryside, he knows better than anyone how to work the land. Aroldi worked for a long time in Fronsac at Château Plain-Point, near his native land, where he proved himself to be a talented winemaker. After working here for twenty years, Michel sold his domain and settled in Pauillac. Michel AROLDI loves to mention that the ‘terroir’ is the nicest alchemy between the earth, heaven and men. The banks of the Gironde and its gravel grounds coupled with the late ripening Cabernet-Sauvignon grape where without any doubt, the choice to be made.Thanks to his deep knowledge in winegrowing and revolutionary winemaking techniques patterned by Michel AROLDI himself, his wines are powerful and pure and made for ageing. The lover of a characterful and elegant Bordeaux wine has come to the right place. Aroldi’s wines have amazed connoisseurs with their power and finesse. They have been appointed as French President’s official wine for banqueting and can be found among the best tables and wine institutions around the world.
