Between Biarritz and Lourdes, in the South West, in the heart of Béarn, facing the Pyrenees, Henri Ramonteu produces dry white wines and fluffy white wines on an exceptional terroir, Domaine Cauhapé lands. Jurançon with fruity and complex aromas, with a golden robe of rare elegance, which will certainly delight the palate of lovers of great wines, distinguished and signed.
The vineyard covers 43 hectares with a terroir dominated by clay. The vines are steep and planted on hillsides.
With a south, south-east exposure and a variable altitude according to the parcels (400 meters for the highest), the vines benefit from optimum climatic conditions.
The Petit Manseng grape variety contributes to the development of great mellows as well as large dry ones.
Gros Manseng and Courbu bring finesse and fruit.
Camaralet and Lauzet are old grape varieties that we are slowly rehabilitating to give birth to a new generation of dry Jurançon.
